Change the colors on the schedule

An admin picks each reservation type's color from a menu under Settings, Schedule colors. It saves at once and everyone in the organization sees it, on the web console and in the app.

For owners and admins

Open WebSettings → Schedule colors, click the color name beside a reservation type, and pick a color from the menu. It saves at once, for the whole organization, on the web console and in the app. Undo on the confirmation puts it back.

Who can do thisOwnersAdmins

Pick a color#

1

Open Schedule colors

In the web console, WebSettings → Schedule colors. Each reservation type has a row: Dual, Solo, Shared flight, Ground, Sim, Rental, Guest and Maintenance, with its color's name on the right. The preview at the top shows all of them together, the way they look on the schedule.

2

Click the color name

A menu of twelve named colors opens. The one marked Default is the type's usual color. Custom… opens your computer's color picker for any other color.

3

Pick one

It saves straight away and you see "Ground is now Teal". Press Undo if it was a mistake. Use default colors at the bottom puts every type back.

Where the colors show#

Everywhere a booking is drawn by its type: the dispatch board, week and month views, the type dots in the booking form and on a booking's page, and the calendar in the iOS and Android apps (version 8.5.9 and later). Other people pick the change up the next time they come back to the console or the app; nobody has to sign out.

Common questions

Why won't it take my color?
The booking's title is written in the type's color on a light tint of it, so a color has to be dark enough to read on white. Pale yellows and light greys are refused. Pick a darker shade.
Can each instructor pick their own colors?
No. The colors are one setting for the whole organization, so a red block means the same thing to everybody looking at the board.
