Your profile, PIN and time zone
Your details, the PIN you sign close-outs with, and why the schedule shows airport time rather than the time on your phone.
For owners, admins, dispatchers, instructors, students, renters and technicians
WebYou → Profile, then the tab you need: Profile, Security, Calendar, Availability (instructors only) or Payment methods. Your PIN is under Security. Your time zone is on the Profile tab.
What is yours and what belongs to the school#
Your account is global: name, email, password and photo follow you everywhere. Your roles, your identifier, your membership plan and your notification preferences belong to your membership of one school.
That is why changing your name changes it everywhere, and why turning off reservation email at one school leaves it on at the other.
The tabs#
| Tab | What is on it |
|---|---|
| Profile | Name and photo, your membership plan, contact details, emergency contacts, and your time zone |
| Security | Your password, and the PIN you sign close-outs with |
| Calendar | Connect Google Calendar so your bookings appear in it |
| Availability | Your teaching hours. Instructors only |
| Payment methods | Saved cards, your default card, and autopay |
Old links to /me/availability and /me/payment-methods still work and land on the right
tab.
Your PIN#
Your PIN is how you sign off a flight at close-out. Set it, or change it, from the Security tab. The button reads Set PIN until you have one, and Update PIN afterwards.

An invoice is raised when the last person on a booking signs off, so a school where nobody has set a PIN is a school where nothing gets billed. Full detail in Sign off a flight with your PIN.
Time zone: two settings, two owners#
This is the part people write in about, so it is worth thirty seconds.
The school's time zone is set by an admin on WebSettings → School → Organization → Time zone, under "Where you fly from". It decides what time a 9am lesson actually is, and it is the zone your booking emails and push notifications are stamped in.
Your time zone is on your Profile tab, and it is two separate choices:
- Which zone is yours: follow this device, or pin one.
- Whether the schedule is drawn in airport time or in yours.

Airport time is the recommended option, and it is what you get by default once the school has set a zone. It is the right answer for almost everybody: the aircraft is at the airport, and so is the instructor.
Pin a zone instead if you are away and want the schedule to read in local time while you are travelling.
More on how times are drawn and reported in Airport time and time zones.
Google Calendar#
The Calendar tab connects your own Google Calendar so your bookings show up there. It is a personal connection, not a school-wide one, so each person connects their own.
Availability, for instructors#
The Availability tab only exists if you hold the instructor role. It is your teaching hours, day by day, with the days you do not teach showing as Unavailable. See Set your weekly availability.
Payment methods#
Save a card, set a default, and turn on autopay so new invoices are charged without you doing anything. See Pay an invoice and save a card.
