An owner schedules permanent deletion from Settings. The school stays for 30 days, every admin and owner is notified, and any of them can cancel before the date.

What happens when you delete#

Deleting a school is not instant. It starts a 30-day countdown:

  1. An owner confirms from WebSettings → School (or Organization Settings in the iOS app).
  2. AerScheduler emails and notifies every admin and owner with the deletion date.
  3. Until that date, the school keeps working as usual: bookings, invoices, training, everything.
  4. Any admin or owner can cancel from the same Settings place.
  5. If nobody cancels, the school and everything in it is permanently removed on the date.

Schedule deletion#

Open Settings → School

Only an owner sees Delete this school. Settle every unpaid invoice first: the server refuses while anything is still owed.

Click Delete organization

Type the school's exact name to confirm. That cannot be done by accident.

Confirm Schedule deletion

The card switches to Deletion scheduled with the date. Every admin and owner gets an email and an in-app notification.

In the iOS app the same flow is under Organization Settings → Delete Organization.

Cancel a scheduled deletion#

Open Settings → School

While a countdown is running, the destructive card is replaced by Deletion scheduled and a Cancel deletion button. Admins see this too, not only owners.

Click Cancel deletion

The countdown clears immediately. Nothing has been removed. Admins and owners get a short notice that it was cancelled.

In the iOS app: Organization Settings → Cancel Deletion.

Gotchas#

  • Unpaid invoices block scheduling, not cancelling. Pay or void them first.
  • Only an owner can start the countdown. An admin who is not an owner cannot.
  • Cancelling is admin or owner. If you received the email, you can stop it.
  • The demo sandbox cannot be deleted. That control is turned off there on purpose.
  • Leaving a school is different. Leave removes only your membership. Delete removes the whole school after 30 days. See Switch between schools.

Common questions

Is deleting a school immediate?
No. Scheduling deletion starts a 30-day countdown. The school keeps working until that date, and any admin or owner can cancel from Settings → School.
Who is told when a school is scheduled for deletion?
Every admin and owner gets an email and an in-app notification with the deletion date and a link back to Settings.
Who can cancel a scheduled deletion?
Any admin or owner. Cancelling clears the countdown. Nothing has been removed yet.
Why won't it let me schedule deletion?
Every invoice for the school must be settled first. The server refuses while anything is unpaid.
