Add a simulator or a classroom
Simulators and rooms are bookable resources like aircraft, and they are free on your bill. Only aircraft count toward what you pay.
For owners and admins
WebFacilities, then Simulators or Rooms in the left rail, then Add simulator or Add room. Both become bookable on the same board as your aircraft, and neither one costs anything on your bill.
What counts as a resource#
A resource is anything a booking can hold: an aircraft, a simulator, or a ground-school room. Aircraft live under Aircraft. Simulators and rooms live under Facilities, which is an admin-only page.
Add one#
Open Facilities
The page has a left rail with three sections, Locations, Simulators and Rooms. You can view simulators and rooms as a grid or as a list.
Pick the section, then press Add simulator or Add room
Simulators carry a name, a location, Hobbs and tach readings, an hourly rate, and a Grounded or Available state. Rooms carry a room number and a location.
Fill the form and save
It appears on the dispatch board straight away.
Both need a location, the same as an aircraft. If none exists yet, the form shows an Add a location button that takes you to WebFacilities → Locations with the create form open.
What you can book them for#
- A Sim reservation takes a simulator.
- A Ground reservation takes a room, or no resource at all.

Finding one again#
Simulators and rooms have no record page of their own, unlike an aircraft. Searching for one takes you back to Facilities with the search already filled in and the right section selected.
Filters on the page: Location for both, plus Status for simulators.
A grounded member can still use them#
Grounding stops a member booking aircraft. It does not stop them being put on a simulator session, a classroom ground lesson, or any booking with no resource. See Ground, archive or remove a member.
