Airworthiness Directive · Amendment 39-10974 · British Aerospace Jetstream Model 3101 Airplanes
British Aerospace Jetstream Model 3101 Airplanes
Jetstream Model 3101 airplanes, constructors numbers 601 through 607 and 609 through 619, certificated in any category.
This amendment adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD) that applies to certain British Aerospace Jetstream Model 3101 airplanes. This AD requires installing additional stringers at the lower fuselage skin panels between the main and rear spar frames. This AD is the result of mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by the airworthiness authority for the United Kingdom. The actions specified in this AD are intended to correct a strength deficiency in the area of the lower fuselage skin panels between the main rear spar frames, which, if not corrected, could result in reduced or loss of control of the airplane during maximum speed limit operations.
The aircraft, engines and makers this AD names, by the model designations in its text. A model listed here may still be outside the AD's serial ranges.
