Airworthiness Directive · Amendment 39-10471 · Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. Model PC-7 Airplanes
Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. Model PC-7 Airplanes
Superseded. A later AD replaced this one: AD 2001-05-02. Comply with the one in force.
Model PC-7 airplanes, serial numbers MSN 001 through MSN 612, certificated in any category.
This amendment adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD) that applies to certain Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. (Pilatus) Model PC-7 airplanes. This AD requires inspecting the elevator and rudder attachment brackets for cracks and/or corrosion, and repairing or replacing any cracked or corrosion-damaged parts, as applicable. This AD is the result of mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by the airworthiness authority for Switzerland. The actions specified by this AD are intended to prevent failure of the elevator and rudder attachment brackets because of cracks or corrosion damage, which could result in the elevator and/or rudder separating from the airplane with consequent loss of airplane control.
The aircraft, engines and makers this AD names, by the model designations in its text. A model listed here may still be outside the AD's serial ranges.
