Airworthiness Directive · Amendment 39-9632 · Learjet Inc. Airplanes
Learjet Inc. Airplanes
Superseded. A later AD replaced this one: AD 98-06-28. Comply with the one in force.
This AD applies to Learjet Inc. 31, 35A (C-21A).
The models as the FAA's AD index lists them. The serial ranges, installed parts and exceptions are in the AD itself: read it at the FAA.
This amendment adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD), applicable to certain Learjet Model 31 and 35A airplanes, that requires replacement of two segments of 16 American Wire Gauge (AWG) wire with 8 AWG wire at the connector that is connected to the auxiliary cabin heater relay box. This amendment is prompted by a report that two segments of the 16 AWG wire in the auxiliary cabin heater that were spliced during production do not provide adequate current-carrying capacity. The actions specified by this AD are intended to prevent electrical arcing and a subsequent fire hazard that could result from wiring with inadequate current-carrying capacity.
The aircraft, engines and makers this AD names, by the model designations in its text. A model listed here may still be outside the AD's serial ranges.
