Airworthiness Directive · Amendment 39-9264 · Various Airplanes
Various Airplanes
This AD applies to Various F.28 Mark 0100.
The models as the FAA's AD index lists them. The serial ranges, installed parts and exceptions are in the AD itself: read it at the FAA.
This amendment adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD), applicable to certain Fokker Model F28 Mark 0100 series airplanes, that requires an inspection to determine the adequacy of clearance between the normal maximum (second) detent for the reverse thrust control and the surrounding moving parts, and to detect chafing or damage of the detent. This amendment also requires eventual replacement of the normal maximum detent with an improved detent. This amendment is prompted by a report indicating that an inadequate level of clearance between the normal maximum detent and the surrounding parts may exist on earlier production Model F28 Mark 0100 series airplanes. The actions specified by this AD are intended to ensure proper operation of the normal maximum detent for reverse thrust control.
