This AD applies to Airbus Canada Limited Partnership (Type Certificate Previously Held by C Series Aircraft Limited Partnership (CSALP); Bombardier, Inc.) Model BD-500-1A11 airplanes, certificated in any category, serial numbers 55018, 55019, 55022, 55024, 55026, 55028, 55031, and 55035.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus Canada Limited Partnership Model BD-500-1A11 airplanes. This AD was prompted by reports that, under certain combinations of airplane configuration and flight conditions, higher than anticipated temperatures could lead to an engine fire warning nuisance message. This AD requires installation of Integrated Air Systems Controller (IASC) software version 5.0. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Within 850 flight hours or 6 months, whichever occurs first after the effective date of this AD: Install Integrated Air Systems Controller (IASC) software version 5.0, in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions of Bombardier Service Bulletin BD500-219001, Issue 002, dated September 11, 2018.
The aircraft, engines and makers this AD names, by the model designations in its text. A model listed here may still be outside the AD's serial ranges.
