Airworthiness Directive · Amendment 39-18790 · Alexander Schleicher GmbH & Co. Gliders
Alexander Schleicher GmbH & Co. Gliders
This AD applies to Alexander Schleicher GmbH & Co. ASK 21.
The models as the FAA's AD index lists them. The serial ranges, installed parts and exceptions are in the AD itself: read it at the FAA.
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Alexander Schleicher GmbH & Co. Model ASK 21 gliders. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as cable slack in gliders equipped with a rudder hand control [[Page 10265]] system leading to a short-term blockage of the rudder control system and reduced control. We are issuing this AD to require actions to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The aircraft, engines and makers this AD names, by the model designations in its text. A model listed here may still be outside the AD's serial ranges.
