DG Flugzeugbau GmbH Model DG-500MB Powered Sailplanes
This AD applies to DG-500MB powered sailplanes, all serial numbers, certificated in any category.
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for the products listed above. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as:
Unless already done, within the next 30 days after September 23, 2008 (the effective date of this AD), modify the spindle drive assembly in accordance with DG Flugzeugbau GmbH Technical Note No. 843/27, dated April 14, 2008, and DG Flugzeugbau GmbH Drawing 5M210, dated April 14, 2008.
