This AD applies to Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica S.A. (EMBRAER) Model EMB-135BJ airplanes, certificated in any category, serial numbers 145412, 145462, 145484, 145495, 145505, 145516, 145528, 145540, 145549, 145555, 145586, 145625, 145637, 145642, 145644, and 145678.
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for the products listed above. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) originated by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as:
Within 48 months after the effective date of this AD, unless already done, replace the wiring of the valance panel lighting system by another one that complies with the current inverter specifications, in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions of EMBRAER Service Bulletin 145LEG-25-0070, dated October 11, 2006.
