Airworthiness Directive · Amendment 39-14928 · EADS SOCATA Model TBM 700 Airplanes
EADS SOCATA Model TBM 700 Airplanes
Superseded. A later AD replaced this one: AD 2007-03-17 R1. Comply with the one in force.
This AD applies to EADS SOCATA TBM 700 airplanes, all serial numbers, certificated in any category.
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for the products listed above. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as loose rivets on frames C18 BIS and C19, which could result in a reduced structural integrity of the tail area. We are issuing this AD to require actions to correct the unsafe condition on these products.
Unless already done, within the next 100 hours time-in-service (TIS) or 12 months, whichever occurs later, after the effective date of this AD, and thereafter at intervals not to exceed 100 hours TIS, accomplish a detailed inspection of the area and apply corrective actions as necessary by doing all the applicable actions in accordance with the accomplishment instructions of the EADS SOCATA TBM Aircraft Mandatory Service Bulletin SB 70-129, ATA No. 53, dated June 2005.
Note: This AD differs from the MCAI and/or service information as follows: No differences.
The aircraft, engines and makers this AD names, by the model designations in its text. A model listed here may still be outside the AD's serial ranges.
