BAE Systems (Operations) Limited Model BAe 146 and Avro 146-RJ Series Airplanes
Superseded. A later AD replaced this one: AD 2006-12-09. Comply with the one in force.
Model BAe 146 and Avro 146-RJ series airplanes, certificated in any category; except those airplanes on which either BAe Modification HCM30514A or HCM30514C, and either HCM30514B or HCM30514D, have been accomplished.
This amendment adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD), applicable to certain BAE Systems (Operations) Limited Model BAe 146 and Avro 146-RJ series airplanes. This AD requires one-time inspections of the inner webs and flanges at frames 15, 18, 41, and 43 for evidence of corrosion or cracking; and corrective actions if necessary. This action is necessary to detect and correct corrosion and cracking of the inner webs and flanges at frames 15, 18, 41, and 43, which could result in reduced structural integrity of the airplane. This action is intended to address the identified unsafe condition.
The aircraft, engines and makers this AD names, by the model designations in its text. A model listed here may still be outside the AD's serial ranges.
